Amazon is taking steps to enhance its offerings to startups by doubling the value of credits available to them for using its cloud infrastructure. As of July 1, startups that have secured Series A funding within the past year will now be eligible for $200,000 in credits through AWS’ Activate program, a significant increase from the previous amount of $100,000. This move comes as Amazon faces stronger competition from Microsoft in the realm of artificial intelligence services.

Matt Garman, the newly appointed CEO of AWS, emphasized the importance of collaborating with startups during his recent visit to Silicon Valley. He highlighted AI companies as ideal customers for AWS, signaling a strategic shift towards catering to this specific segment.
